We've recently received a very kind donation from Wilfred's family. We'd like to send a heart felt thank you to the family, it's so great that people are thinking of Daisi and valuing young people's art opportunities. Thank you so much from the whole Daisi staff and Board.

MEMORIES OF DAD BY KATE
Punch and Judy Shows
Bonfires on Guy Fawkes night. Making bonfire toffee.
Roasting Chestnuts on a coal fire
Pottering in his greenhouse for hours and hours while listening to radio 4
Growing fruit and veg
Taking his radio to the beach to annoy everybody by listening to cricket
Listening to gardener’s question time – we thought it was BORING!
He used to eat a lot of sweets, mainly boiled sweets or licorice
He read comics especially Dandy and Beano
Enjoyed George Formby, Stanley Holloway, Gilbert and Sullivan
Listening to Dylan Thomas poems on cassette
Carry on films and Benny Hill
Drying our hair after a bath on Sunday nights – rough and playfully
Painting the kitchen on Christmas Eve as Mum was trying to prepare a roast
His knowledge of facts, in particular historical ones – without ever seeming to read a book.
Dozing in an armchair. Mega-sneezes. His dentures flew across the dinner table into the salad once!
